About  the Artist

      Lyric coloratura soprano Georgia Rehbock strives to inspire others to seek and enjoy vocal music. This summer she made her role debut as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Canto Vocal Programs and joined the Oyster Bay Music Festival as a Concert Artist.  

     Previously she performed scenes from Act I and III of Puccini's La Boheme as Mimi with New York Opera Forum and Atalanta from Xerses (New York Opera Forum). She won first place in the NATS-NSQ chapter for their Adult Classical Division (2021) and has had the pleasure to portray Bradamante from Handel’s Alcina with Amadeus Opera and Yum-Yum in Bronx Opera's production of The Mikado, performing outreach/covering the role.   

      During her time in Chicago, Georgia premiered the role of Artistic Director in …For the Sake of a Narrative Closure by Sean Ellis Hussey (Roosevelt University) and brought to life four roles in Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Young Frog, Young Vixen, Frantík and Chocholka; Roosevelt University). She was honored with a Brava Award from the Bel Canto Foundation and during her graduate studies was granted the Lakeview Music Society Scholarship.

      With a strong choral background, Georgia is currently the soprano section leader for Garden City Community Church. Previously she has sung with the Long Island Choral Society, Bronx Orchestra Chorus, the Cecelia Chorus of New York and the QC Choral Society. Georgia has performed in the ensemble for productions of Carmen (New Rochelle Opera Company) and Tosca (Chelsea Opera Company).

      

      She obtained her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Long Island University C.W Post and received her Master of Music in Voice from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts. She currently studies with Dr. Sherry Overholt and works closely with breath support coach Deborah Birnbaum.
